The L Magazine will be putting on the third annual Northside Festival next week. This event is a mini SXSW in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Much like SXSW there are days reserved for music, film, art, food and ideas (panelist and guest speakers). In the spirit of supporting this amazing festival and giving back to our awesome community we have partnered with Northside to give away three badges to one lucky exfmer. What will these badges get you? How about access to every show taking place during the festival, June 16th to the 19th, in addition to all the Northside ideas, art and film events. Wait there’s more! This year Northside has partnered with the Brooklyn Flea Market. This means that all badge holders will receive an “Eat Free at the Flea” ticket. Tickets can be redeemed at the new critically acclaimed all-food market, Smorgasburg taking place on Saturday or the regular Sunday Brooklyn Flea. Treats for your ears, eyes and tummy! Over 250 bands will play over the four days at more than 25 venues scattered throughout the neighborhood, the majority of which will be handpicked by some of the most respected labels, bloggers, record stores and other independent tastemakers in the community. Highlights include the return of live music to McCarren Park, Guided By Voices set to headline on June 18th with Wavves and Surferblood as supporting acts. Other notable artists such as Beirut, Sharon Van Etten, Caveman, Grouplove, Twin Sister and Atlas Sound will be there as well.
